Business Analyst, Interfi
Sydney. Join a newly formed practice within an established FinTech undergoing significant evolution.
About the role
Business Analyst, Field Operations
Interfi Systems | Sydney | Hybrid
$80,000 to $100,000 plus super, negotiable for more experienced candidates.
The company
Interfi builds and runs Capital, a loan servicing platform used by lenders across Australia. Capital covers the full life of a loan, from settlement through to discharge. In June 2026, Perpetual acquired a majority stake in the business.
Interfi is building a field operations practice in Sydney and is hiring multiple Business Analyst and Systems Analyst roles.
A new practice
Field operations was set up after the acquisition to ensure that the people closest to clients shape what gets built.
The practice is small, and the way it works is still being written. The people who join now will help decide how it runs, with the opportunity to shape a function rather than inherit one.
The role
Field operations takes Capital into a client’s own environment and makes it work. The Business Analyst sits with a lender, draws out what they need, goes down into the detail, and turns it into requirements an engineering team can build from.
Work arrives in three shapes. New customers coming onto the platform. Upgrades that bring existing clients onto the current version. And product definition work, which is growing as the product function forms. An onboarding runs two to three months, with the Business Analyst on it from the start through to go-live. Two to three pieces of work at once is the normal load.
What Interfi is looking for
Interfi is direct and informal. People grab each other for a quick answer instead of booking a meeting, and clients prefer the same. The culture suits people who go and find the answer, rather than waiting to be told.
What's on offer
Sydney, hybrid, around 3.5 days in the office. Quarterly bonus cycles. A career structure with defined levels and pathways.

What Interfi is looking for
- 2-4 years as a Business Analyst in a software or technology environment
- Experience drawing requirements out of client stakeholders and running workshops with senior people
- User stories, acceptance criteria and functional specs written so engineers can build from them
- Depth with AI tools. Interfi uses Claude heavily and has built its own requirements workflow on it, so the strongest candidates build with AI rather than prompt it
- A lending or financial services background is strongly preferred: mortgages, consumer credit, non-bank lending or payments
